I am so glad you are here!\n\nIf you are a mom in recovery from addiction and have found yourself caught up in the hamster wheel of doing unhealthy fitness patterns such as obsessively overtraining, fad diets, quick weight loss fixes or even surgeries because you do not feel good in your body since having babies or getting clean, then this is the place for you. \n\nI know the pain and struggle of being a former athlete, extremely fit to getting clean and turning to food for comfort, then abusing my body with intense fitness workouts with the mindset that I am not still good enough. Then repeating that viscous cycle when I gave birth to our two beautiful babies while being in recovery and not being able to ”bounce back” quick enough to look like I did before. \n\nIf you are wondering, how would I know this? Well, I am so glad you asked. \n\nHello, my name is Monica Rojas, I am a Jesus lover, wife to my incredible husband I met in recovery, homeschool mom to 2 beautiful children, Faith led fitness coach, and I have been clean for 10 years from active addiction by God’s grace and mercy. Prior to getting clean I was a former competitive boxer for 12 years and found boxing to be a healing outlet where I was struggling so bad to quit using drugs and surrender what I believed to be true about fitness and health. At the time I would punish my body with brutal weight cuts, starvation, laxatives, sauna suits, drugs, & alcohol to a point of causing my body kidney infections, illnesses and even collapsing from exhaustion. \n\nMy perspective of fitness and health equated to being thin and in lower weight classes, but the more weight I loss, the more broken I felt. The answers weren’t in my body image or how much weight I lost because my view of my body was distorted. I needed healing and a breakthrough, most importantly I needed Jesus. \n\nFast forward to an encounter where the Lord positioned a gentleman who I believe was an angel from Him, came to the boxing gym and asked if needed help, but the help he was asking me about wasn’t a typical helping hand, it was help as in am I ready to surrender my life to something new. That day recovery from addiction was planted in my life and now I get to experience all the healing and freedom that getting clean and surrendering my life to Christ has done for me. \n\nSince that day to now I have met my husband, gave birth to our two beautiful children, started a faith led boxing fitness ministry called Boxfit Queens to help other moms seek Jesus in their journey, and have found freedom from the old lies the enemy tried to make me believe about fitness, my body and my worth. \n\nI am here to extend my hand out to you from the bondage of old thinking and self-abuse in your fitness walk. It was never meant to be punishing or condemning, it was supposed to bring you fruit and vitality. You are called to be the chain breaker in your family from all these unhealthy fitness patterns, addiction and lies you have believed about self-worth.
